Probiotics in skin care is the latest beauty trend. My only question is, what took so long?
After doing some research on Probiotics being added into skin care products, I discovered so many benefits that I was shocked it isn't more popular.
We have all heard about incorporating probiotics into our diet, whether that is from food sources or in dietary supplements, but not enough people are talking about adding it to our skin care routine to help current skin conditions.
What are probiotics?
Probiotics are live microorganisms that our body needs to stay balanced and healthy. When people think of bacteria they usually think germs and infections. However there are good bacteria just as well as bad bacteria.
Our skin, just like the rest of our body, is made up of bacteria. By adding a probiotic (good bacteria) to our skin care regime, it is similar to taking probiotics to balance the microorganisms in our body.
When the bacteria on your skin is out of balance you may notice reactions such as acne, dryness or rosacea which can all lead to our skin aging quicker.
What is microbiome?
Microbiome is the environment in which the microorganisms inhabitant.
Adding a probiotic skin care line to your skin care regime can protect your skin against environmental damage, maintain skin's hydration and combat dryness, calm and soothe redness and skin irritation, restore the natural pH balance of your skin while gently exfoliating dead skin cells and boosting collagen.
Don't forget to continue taking your probiotics in your diet to maintain a healthy gut flora, as this in combination with probiotics in your skin care will leave your skin less inflamed and help get that natural glow back.
